Punainen linssipasta (penne)

Cooked up a big batch for meal prep and the color alone made the whole container look more appetizing than regular pasta. The mild nutty taste came through just enough to keep things interesting without overpowering the sauce.

The nutty flavor is subtle enough that my kids didn't even notice they were eating lentils, which is a win. The penne holds its shape nicely in a hearty sauce and doesn't go mushy like some other pasta alternatives I've tried.

The color is a really pretty light orange, and it holds the sauce nicely. I was surprised by that mild nutty flavor, which made a simple dinner feel a bit more special.
